Job Overview

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have strong critical analysis and sound judgement skills to analyse applications against legal tests under the Overseas Investment Act 2005. They will also be responsible for assessing and providing advice on overseas investment risk, including national interest and national security risk.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary degree in law, economics, commerce, accounting, or prior experience in a relevant field. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to confidently interact with investors, their advisors and colleagues from across the NZ Government system.
