Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi Cleaner Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our Operations Department at our Whakatane campus site. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining facilities in a clean and hygienic state by completing routine daily and weekly cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain facilities in a clean and hygienic state
  • Complete routine daily and weekly cleaning tasks
  • Work unsupervised and have effective time management skills
  • Have a good general level of physical fitness to use heavy cleaning equipment
Requirements:
  • At least two years previous commercial cleaning experience
  • Specific knowledge of, and experience using cleaning chemicals, their identification, use, and safe storage

We offer a supportive working environment and welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply. The hours of work are 4 hours per day (negotiable start and finish times between 4am and 12pm), 20 hours per week, Friday to Tuesday. Additional rostered hours to cover other team members on approved leave are also available from Monday – Friday.
