Critical Infrastructure Capability Leader

About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Critical Infrastructure Capability Leader, responsible for developing and delivering emergency management systems, processes, and frameworks for the Auckland, Northland, and Waikato region.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement national systems, policies, and procedures for emergency management
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build trust and understanding
- Provide expert advice on emergency management systems and processes
- Facilitate working groups and develop guidelines and procedures
- Represent the department in collaborative emergency management groups
About You
We are looking for an experienced emergency management professional with a strong background in complex operational environments. You will have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to make good decisions under pressure.
Requirements
- Solid experience in emergency management, particularly in complex or large-scale operational environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience writing and running desktop exercises for inter-agency response scenarios
- Certification in Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS) Level 4
- Desirable: Experience delivering CIMS training, holding a university degree in Emergency Management or other relevant discipline, and experience in response coordination systems
