About the Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer at Vitaco Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and processes. This involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have a trade certification or degree in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in plant and equipment maintenance. They should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial equipment
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement repairs
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Liaise with production leaders and operators to ensure timely resolution of all mechanical breakdown issues
  • Assist the Engineering Manager with running continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Trade certification with applicable trade and skilled in fitting, turning, and machining
  • NZQA recognized level 7 or higher Mechanical Engineering degree
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in plant and equipment maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills
