Job Overview

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Clinical Specialist in the Emergency Department at Christchurch Hospital. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members to develop their clinical skills and knowledge.

About You

  • You hold a degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an acute hospital setting.
  • You possess strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • You are registered with the New Zealand Occupational Therapy Board and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
