Job Description

We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of business applications that protect New Zealand's borders. As a member of our IS Protection team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex systems and make a positive impact on the safety and security of our country.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for developing new capabilities for our Protection team and maintaining existing products in production.
  • Using your design, build, CI/CD pipeline, containerisation, deployment automation, testing and issue resolution skills, you will deliver quality solutions to our customers.
  • You will work closely with our Product Manager and Protection team to ensure enterprise standards and processes are adhered to.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in Java, JavaScript/Typescript, Quarkus, React, NodeJS, Azure - Kubernetes (AKS), Service Bus, APIM.
  • Knowledge of relevant software development topics, including development languages, databases, methodologies, DevOps, build pipelines, automation, APIs and cloud concepts.
  • Understanding of UX design, product development, networking, security compliance, capacity management.
