Role Overview

We are seeking a vibrant and motivated educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre at Okato Playcentre. As a Child Led Play Educator, you will be responsible for facilitating child-led play, supporting learning for our members and tamariki, and role modelling positive guidance.

You will work alongside our centre whānau to open sessions, guide activities, and encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme. To support whānau, you will help them explore their light bulb moments and demonstrate the benefits of participating in our programmes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher. A current First Aid Certificate is also required.

Desirable skills and experience include knowledge and understanding of Te Whāriki, commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to use technology.
