The Justice, Security and Government Services team provides exposure to a wide range of policy issues and the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of government and how government expenditure delivers value for New Zealanders.

Job Description

We are seeking a well-rounded and high performing candidate who is keen to further their development and broaden their analytical experience. The role involves advising on Government defence and security policy, investment and funding decisions, including providing input to key areas of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on Government defence and security policy, investment and funding decisions
  • Lead relationships with relevant government agencies
  • Develop your leadership skills by providing guidance to junior staff and shaping priorities

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong analytical, critical and strategic thinking skills, as well as experience in public policy and/or financial analysis. You will also need to be able to engage constructively with other organisations, build strong relationships and influence policy thinking.
