Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated trade qualified maintenance fitter to join our team on either day or night shift. This role will be responsible for ensuring that plant assets are managed and maintained in a way that minimizes processing downtime and enhances our short- and long-term objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with the trades team to achieve this goal.
Key Requirements
- A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work well within a team.
- A proactive approach to ensure minimal downtime due to engineering/maintenance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills to manage various priorities and demands.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with automated plant and equipment.
- Appropriate qualifications and/or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- A Trade certificate in engineering/maintenance or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
- Welding ability: Tig, Mig, MMAW.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Previous experience working with automated plant and equipment.
- Previous engineering experience in a food processing environment would be an advantage.
