**Job Description:**

We are currently seeking a medically qualified Chemical Pathologist to join our team. The department has three Chemical Pathologists and a registrar, and we are looking for someone with expertise in biochemical testing and analysis. As a Chemical Pathologist at Canterbury Health Laboratories, you would be involved in chemical pathology test reporting, validation, and implementation of new tests, mentoring and training of biochemistry scientific staff, and clinical governance.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council (FRCPA or equivalent);
  • Experience with specialist testing and lipid disorders an advantage;
  • Interest in informatics and quality focus;
  • New graduates or experienced practitioners welcome to apply;
