**Role Overview**

We are seeking highly skilled Critical Care Specialists to join our team at Auckland City Hospital. The Department of Critical Care Medicine is a leading teaching hospital with a supportive and stimulating atmosphere, providing a unique opportunity for professional growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have completed specialist training in intensive care medicine and possess strong clinical skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in clinical audit programs and contribute to knowledge sharing among medical, nursing, and support staff.
  • Work on the specialist roster under supervision, with opportunities for academic study and/or clinical research.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in critical care medicine, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for registration.
  • Completed specialist training in intensive care medicine.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in intensive care, including 1 year in a tertiary (Level III) intensive care unit.
  • Strong clinical skills, with a focus on neuro-intensive care, tertiary surgical services, and abdominal organ transplantation.
