The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and repairing electrical systems. You must have a strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. View electrical layouts to determine the most suitable system and ensure compliance with electrical and fire codes
  2. Install and test the system to guarantee proper functioning
  3. Responsible for repairing any problems with the system and replacing defective parts
  4. Work within guidelines set by Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Manager to ensure equipment meets programmed, time, cost, and quality requirements
  5. Monitor progress of all work and communicate any delays or problems to Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Manager
  6. Carry out quality inspection work in area of responsibility in accordance with all policies and procedures
  7. Ensure full understanding of safety objectives and policies and request advice or opinion when required
  8. Participate as a member of the marine team and in the wider organisation
  9. All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  1. Ideal one-year relevant experience or relevant qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 1, but not compulsory
  2. Friendly, with good time management, and excellent work ethic are essential
  3. Time management skills
  4. A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
  5. Sound knowledge of H&S procedures
  6. Reliable and hardworking

Location: You may be required to occasionally travel to various locations across New Zealand.
