Become a part of an innovative service transforming the delivery of community health care services. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Speech Language Therapist to join our friendly team at Eastern Community Health Service in Botany.
About the PositionIn this role, you will provide Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention for adults with swallowing and acquired communication disorders in their home and community settings. You will work closely with other allied health colleagues to ensure coordinated approaches to patient needs and facilitate functional goals with clients.
This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in instrumental assessments such as videofluoroscopy and FEES, refer to and link with other agencies for best outcomes, and potentially work with individuals who have had a laryngectomy. You will also have access to ongoing professional development, supervision, and support from senior colleagues and advanced clinicians within the Specialist Community Health Service.
Your Skills and Qualifications- NZSTA approved qualification to practice Speech & Language Therapy and eligibility for NZSTA membership
- 2 + years relevant experience post-registration
- Solution focussed with excellent communication skills
- Sound computer skills
- Full, clean driver's licence
