**Overview of the Role**

At Trade Me Limited, our vision is to be the place where Kiwis look first for their online shopping needs. We're seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our Payments team, who process around $1 billion a year. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our cloud-based applications.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale, distributed, and fault-tolerant cloud applications in AWS.
  • Develop and maintain automated processes to ensure high uptime and availability of our mission-critical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and development teams, to deliver innovative products that provide exceptional customer experiences.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for projects, ensuring successful design and implementation from requirements gathering through to delivery.
**Requirements**
  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing public cloud web platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.), preferably in AWS.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, etc.) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Strong networking skills, including VPCs, Security Groups, DNS, DHCP, IP, Firewall, Switching, Routing, Load-Balancing, etc.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and automation tools.
