Job Description

We have a fixed term part-time position available as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency department, working across Monday to Sunday.

">

You will join a highly skilled and supportive team who manage the unique variety of emergency situations presenting at our provincial hospital.

">

This is an exciting environment in which to develop excellence in emergency nursing assessment and planning skills, with support from the emergency department staff.

">

Our nursing team consists of nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, an emergency department educator, and a clinical coach.

">

In addition to the nursing support, we work closely alongside a team of senior and junior medical staff.

Requirements

  • Emergency Department and/or acute care experience.
  • If you don't have ED experience but have other transferable skills combined with a connection to the Western coast of Taranaki-Ngāmotu, then we have a desire to train and grow our people.
  • A current New Zealand – Aotearoa nursing practicing certificate (APC).
  • Desire to make a difference in our community.
  • A 'can do' attitude.
  • A commitment to ongoing education to support excellence in emergency nursing.
  • A strong focus on patient assessment.
