Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Branch Mechanic to join our team at Tangram. As a key member of our branch operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of hire plant equipment.

This is a dynamic role that requires adaptability, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with colleagues and customers to provide expert assistance and support across all areas of branch operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in trade-qualified or significant job experience with both petrol and diesel plant equipment. You must also possess a full driver's licence, preferably with additional endorsements.

In addition to the technical requirements, this role offers ongoing training and development opportunities, a 4% employer Kiwisaver contribution, and a range of employee benefits, including free staff hire from our DIY fleet.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintenance of hire plant equipment
  • Provide expert assistance to colleagues and customers
  • Attend breakdowns and scheduled maintenance on customer sites
  • Answer phone queries and raise customer contracts
  • Offer advice to customers on different tools and machinery
  • Support and guide newer team members
