Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Metallurgist / Materials Engineer to join our team based in Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects with a diverse range of clients.

  • Conduct materials testing and inspections with precision, adhering strictly to relevant codes and standards to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Conduct both routine and non-routine destructive testing on a diverse range of products and components across metals and plastics in heavy to light constructions and building industries.
  • As a Metallurgist, you will utilise advanced specialist knowledge to provide expert consultancy services, addressing clients' technical challenges in critical areas such as materials performance testing and failure analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the field of materials / mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skill sets in testing, machining, maintenance and/or trouble shooting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients
