Patient Safety Lead Specialist

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central Region team as a Regional Quality and Patient Safety Lead.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality and patient safety, with experience in leading teams and developing initiatives to improve outcomes.
As a key member of the Regional Senior Leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of Health New Zealand in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the development and implementation of quality and patient safety strategies at the regional level.
- Collaborating with the Regional Clinical Board and other leadership groups to ensure quality of care and patient safety.
- Developing and implementing initiatives to improve quality and patient safety in the region.
- Providing expertise and guidance on quality and patient safety matters to the Regional Senior Leadership team.
What You Will Bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in the health sector in Quality and Patient Safety.
- A relevant health qualification and clinical experience.
- Knowledge of New Zealand Health Legislation.
- Understanding of risk management.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks.
