About the Role
The Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in patient care and rehabilitation within acute services at our hospital.
This involves helping patients regain independence in daily activities, manage pain, and adapt to physical changes post-surgery.
We work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Conduct assessments to identify patients' needs and abilities
• Develop and lead therapy sessions to promote patient independence and well-being
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care

Requirements
• Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
• Strong problem-solving abilities and patient-centered approach to care
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and culturally responsive practice
