About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop others in a hands-on capacity while providing technical and planning expertise and leadership within the Consents Section.
You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching team members to build their capability in technical expertise across the Consents section and supporting the development of resource management plans.
- Make legally defensible decisions on applications for resource consent
- Train consent planners/team members on the delivery of best consenting outcomes
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of Maori Rights in the Resource Management Framework and the ability to navigate and pivot to enable positive environmental outcomes.
- Postgraduate qualification in Resource Management, Natural Science or Planning field
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a planning/resource management field
