We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Support Worker / Activities Coordinator to join our team at Totara Trust Horowhenua.
This is a Monday to Thursday, 8 AM – 4 PM (32 hours minimum per week) shift available, where you will be assisting individuals in growing their independence, learning daily living skills, and participating in meaningful activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individuals with daily activities such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and administering medication.
- Assisting with personal care, including hair removal, skin care, manicures, and pedicures.
- Helping individuals engage in their interests and hobbies (e.g., art, crafts, sports, beach outings).
- Providing massage and pressure point therapy for relaxation and well-being.
- Conducting skin analysis to identify pigment changes, moles, and imperfections, promoting overall skin health.
- Supporting individuals to plan and achieve personal goals while making decisions and choices.
- Encouraging social connections, fostering relationships, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
- Assisting with home management tasks.
