The Role

As a Community Development Recruiter at VSA, you will be responsible for identifying, screening, and selecting talented volunteers who can contribute to our mission.

You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, manage volunteer applications, and conduct interviews to ensure the best fit for our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Manage volunteer applications, including reviewing resumes, conducting phone or video interviews, and assessing candidate skills and experience.
  • Work collaboratively with program teams to ensure seamless volunteer onboarding and integration into our programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to applicants, ensuring a positive and supportive experience throughout the recruitment process.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in recruitment or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
