This role involves the production of Group financial information and reporting to support the wider business and for statutory purposes. Key tasks include:
- Ensuring accurate recording and reporting of intercompany transactions.
- Recognition, measurement, and disclosure of fixed assets and leases in the financial statements.
- Performing month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation, maintenance, and analysis of FX revaluations, journal entries, general ledger accounts, and consolidated financial statements.
- Assisting with the preparation of consolidated statutory accounts and the audit process.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of accounting standards and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A fully qualified business degree with accounting major, full membership of CAANZ or similar, and minimum of 4 years post qualification experience are essential. Ideally, you will have experience gained in a publicly listed company or multinational organisation, with highly developed technical accounting / finance skills and experience including leases and multi-currency operations. Computer literacy including SAP, Blackline, and Microsoft products is also required.
