Job Description

We are seeking a specialist geriatrician to join our Older Persons and Rehabilitation Team in Rotorua. As a geriatrician, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to older patients and those requiring rehabilitation or who have suffered a stroke.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist geriatric care to patients in the hospital and community settings.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to geriatric care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical degree and specialist training in geriatric medicine.
  • Vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council (NZMC) or eligibility for vocational registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
