Job Description
The Restraint Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with guidelines and promoting a safe and responsible approach to restraint use within our organization. This role involves leading team-based training, developing strategies for minimizing restraint use, and collaborating with colleagues to promote a positive work culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Registered CPI Safety Interventions Trainer or potential to become certified
- Valid full driver's license
- Proficiency in leading team-based training
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support, De-escalation Techniques, Trauma-Informed Practices, Sensory Modulation, and other strategies for minimizing restraint use
- Ability to think creatively and problem-solve
- Advanced computer literacy and administrative skills
