General Cardiologist Position

We are currently recruiting for a General Cardiologist to join our team at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality cardiology services in Hawke's Bay.
About the DepartmentOur department is supported by a registrar, house officer, inpatient cardiology nursing staff, a nurse practitioner, several clinical nurse specialists, and senior cardiology outpatient nurses. We also have close ties with allied health services, other specialties within our hospital, and Wellington Regional Hospital, our tertiary centre, who provide a comprehensive package of care including interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Specialist Cardiologist
- Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent
- Proven experience in cardiological procedures, supervision and teaching of junior medical staff, working within a multidisciplinary team, and developing and maintaining effective clinical systems
