The Auckland District Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Electrophysiology Specialist to join its team at Starship Children's Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to children with congenital and acquired heart disease, including those with arrhythmias.
The unit has a catchment population of four and a half million and provides a full range of surgical and cardiological investigations and procedures with over 400 surgical cases per year. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the specialist will work closely with other cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
To be successful in this role, applicants must have a subspecialty interest in Arrhythmia Management and Electrophysiology, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collegial environment. They must also demonstrate interest and potential to actively participate in departmental activities including teaching, audit, and research.
