About the Role
Starship Children's Hospital, a leading tertiary hospital for child healthcare in New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Paediatric Palliative Care specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing children with serious illnesses across the Northern region.

The successful candidate will have post-graduate training and experience in Paediatric Palliative Care, with eligibility for specialist registration in New Zealand as a paediatrician. They will also possess a recognised qualification in paediatrics with a general scope of practice and an interest in the holistic and medical management of Paediatric Palliative Care patients.

We are Te Whatu Ora - Auckland, part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, providing health and disability services to over half a million people living in central Auckland and regional services for Northland and greater Auckland. Our main sites include Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre, and Starship Children's Hospital, located in central Auckland.

About the Team
Our team consists of senior medical officers, nurse specialists, a psychotherapist, a social worker, and administration staff. We work closely with families and whanau to provide expert assessments and interventions for children and adolescents attending our services.
