Operational Readiness Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Operational Readiness team in providing top-notch training and ensuring we have the right people in place to respond when disaster strikes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead key hazard response planning projects, ensuring that our plans, processes, and infrastructure are of the highest standard.
- Develop and implement Group's annual work plans as they relate to readiness, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the Group Emergency Coordination Centre (GECC), ensuring seamless communication and coordination during emergency situations.
- Monitor and analyse national, regional, and local emergency management practice to ensure that CDEM planning, policy, and advice represents best practice.
About You
- Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain successful and effective working relationships with internal & external stakeholders, elected officials, and executive level officers.
- Critical thinking, strategic planning, performance monitoring, and report writing experience is essential for this role.
- Highly competent in use of MS Office, MS Teams, and Outlook, with excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Previous experience of Emergency Operations Centres (EOC) and Coordination Centres (CC) is desirable.
- Availability to be included in an on-call 24/7 Group Emergency Coordination Centre Duty Officer roster.
