Facilities Operations Manager

At Chatham University, we welcome applications for the position of Facilities Operations Manager. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for managing daily housekeeping, grounds, carpentry, and locksmith operations and staff.
This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, budget accountability, staff management, vendor coordination, and operational improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Daily Oversight: Ensure efficient, responsive, and high-quality standards in housekeeping, grounds, carpentry, and locksmith operations and staff.
- Assign and Assess Work: Monitor backlog of work and work orders while analyzing and recommending efficiency improvements.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage operating expenditures, ensuring accountability and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed planning proposals for furthering university strategic priorities and enhancing the campus experience. Conduct timely and accurate performance evaluations for subordinate employees. Collaborate with the Director to assess staffing needs, justify vacant positions, and participate in hiring processes.
Competencies: We are looking for individuals with strong leadership, strategic planning, budgeting, and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, problem-solving, and ability to implement innovative solutions.
