We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team at Speed King Limited. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting transactions for our business chain in Auckland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash flow and credit lines, maintaining and reconciling accounts through manual and computerized systems
  • Compile and generate financial statements, budget reports, and expenditure analyses using account books, ledgers, and accounting software
  • Create invoices, process purchase orders, and make bank deposits
  • Balance accounts with monthly bank statements
  • Review recorded transactions and inform management of any discrepancies
  • Prepare forms detailing business tax responsibilities, including goods and services tax paid and collected
  • Liaise with external Charter Accountant to prepare the company's financial statements for each business's financial year

Requirements:

  • At least three years of relevant experience in New Zealand with a relevant bachelor's degree
  • Strong accounting and financial management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of $32 to $35 per hour
  • A minimum of 30 hours of work per week, with the possibility of overtime
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment
