The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Material Handling Equipment Repair Expert to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing field-based and site-based repairs and maintenance on a large fleet of forklifts, working from our well-equipped workshop in Palmerston North.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain forklifts to the highest standards, ensuring they are safe and operational
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored solutions and support
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Contribute to the development of our team, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive excellence and efficiency

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in material handling equipment or a related field. The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in material handling equipment or a related field
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible attitude towards varying work schedules
  • Basic IT skills, with the ability to learn new software and systems
