We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Workforce Development Coordinator to join our team in the Auckland South Region. In this role, you will play a vital part in connecting job seekers with employment opportunities, leveraging your exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

As a key member of our team, you will have the autonomy to source vacancies and place clients into these roles, using your influence and networks to seek out current and future employment opportunities from employers in various industries. You will also be responsible for profiling job seekers to employers and building long-term professional relationships.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with Health Care, Construction, Retail Trade, Education & Training, Manufacturing, Horticulture, and other industries to support engagement and recruitment of job seekers.
  • Sourcing job seekers for recruitment and training programs, as well as other labour market activities.
  • Collaborating with Case Managers and other Service Centre colleagues to ensure sustainable employment outcomes are achieved.
  • Providing in-work support to clients placed in employment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of interactions with employers and clients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Sourcing and recruiting suitable talent to fulfil employers' needs.
  • Demonstrating strong business development, sales, marketing, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and networking skills.
  • Effectively managing time to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Possessing strong influencing and negotiation skills.
