Role Overview

This is a key role within our organization, requiring a highly skilled and experienced manager to lead and manage a team of professionals delivering learning support services to children and young people. As a Service Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of education in New Zealand.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead complex teams and manage workload and resource issues effectively.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies to strengthen inclusive practices, raise student achievement, and improve educational outcomes.
  3. Foster strong connections and networks across the Ministry, local education providers, iwi, communities, and whanau to achieve educational priorities for the region.
  4. Engage in culturally responsive and respectful ways with Maori, iwi, hapu, whanau, and akonga.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading complex teams and managing workload and resource issues.
  • Effective and efficient communication skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and a full current driver's license as travel across the region is a requirement of this role.
