Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Essity Australasia. As a key member of our site team, you will play a critical role in supporting our OHS Manager to guide the site through the 'I CARE' journey; to improve culture, reduce risk and develop all workers into Safety Leaders.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the Risk Register, leading risk assessments, supporting and monitoring corrective actions.
  • Supporting and assisting the development of Health and Safety Representatives and Safety Committee.
  • Ensuring compliance trainings are maintained and meet minimum requirements.
  • Taking oversight of tracking and reporting of Incidents – supporting investigation and solution, maintaining the database and completing reports for accident tracking.
  • Performing internal audits of H&S Support activities and processed/procedures, verifying correct and updating where needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in Health and Safety, preferably with previous experience in an industrial environment.
  • Well-developed communication skills, and ability to build rapport and get buy-in.
  • Self-motivation, with a drive to improve processes and ensure our site has a safety-conscious culture.
