The Building Management Systems (BMS) Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of building automation systems that control and monitor a building's mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Performing regular maintenance checks to identify system faults and troubleshoot issues to ensure BMS operates efficiently and effectively.
  2. Monitoring BMS to track system performance, identifying anomalies, implementing corrective actions, and reducing operational costs.
  3. Offering system performance improvements to clients.
  4. Developing and modifying BMS control strategies and configurations to optimize HVAC system performance.
  5. Setting up and programming controllers, sensors, actuators, and other system components.
  6. Maintaining accurate records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.
  7. Providing technical support and training to clients and maintenance staff on BMS operation and best practices.
  8. Integrating BMS with other building systems (e.g., fire alarm, security, lighting).
  9. Developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for BMS operations.
  10. Ensuring all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

To excel in this role, you'll require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in BMS software, and a thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
