About the Role
Are you a passionate people leader with experience in Environmental Health activity and food legislation? Do you have a qualification in health science or a similar field?
We have an exciting leadership position available in our fast-paced Regulatory Team.
You will report to our Licensing and Compliance Manager and be responsible for the Environmental Health Team.
This is a permanent, full-time role based primarily in our Thames Office. The team covers various responsibilities, including registration and verification of food businesses, Food Safety Officer duties, inspection of premises registered under the Health Act 1956, assessing and reporting on alcohol licence applications and manager's certificates, as well as investigating general health nuisances.
- Take a leading role in workload management
- Undertake verifications of businesses operating under a template food control plan
- Hold the position of Chief Licensing Inspector
- A thorough understanding of the requirements for the Alcohol Regulatory & Licensing Authority, the Food Act 2014, and the Food Regulations 2015
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and decision-making skills with a calm, solution-focused approach to issues
- The ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
- A passion for processes and continuous improvement
- A commitment to coaching staff and enabling them to be their best
