This role is focused on equipping our students to succeed in real-life educational, clinical, and community settings. You will contribute to the supervision, teaching, and assessment of counselling practice, working closely with the Counselling team.

The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree in Counselling and be a member (preferably full) of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC). They will also have at least 5 years post-qualification counselling experience including:

  • Minimum qualification Master of Counselling degree
  • Full member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors/ Te Roopu Kaiwhiriwhiri o Aotearoa (NZAC)
  • Expertise in applying the Solution-focused brief therapy model
  • Experience in and knowledge of supervision practices
  • Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngai Tuahuriri, and valuing Te reo Maori
