Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide person-centered care to our residents. This will involve working closely with our nursing and care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

You will also be responsible for leading a team of care assistants, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality care. This will include providing training, coaching, and feedback to ensure that our care standards are consistently met.

In addition to your care responsibilities, you will also be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities. You will work collaboratively with our care manager to plan and deliver activities that promote engagement, dignity, and well-being among our residents.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a genuine passion for providing excellent care and support to vulnerable adults. You will have a background in adult care, preferably with a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ or equivalent qualification.

Experience of working with people with dementia is highly desirable, as is a willingness to undertake further training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with residents, families, and colleagues to deliver high-quality care.
