Job Description

As Chief Analytics Strategist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality analytics and measurement frameworks to enable fast decision-making and strategic design. You will collaborate with senior leaders across various teams to align priorities and manage high-risk or strategic program delivery.

  • Apply your existing experience and skills to leverage customer analytics, measurement, and science methodologies.
  • Conduct data analysis, data exploration, data profiling, and statistical analysis to support performance improvement across all areas of the business.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with solution architects, data engineering, data analysts, data science, data Ops, business analysts, and developers to ensure deliveries are supported by the correct architectural implementation.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on data quality-related activities and present complex analysis to stakeholders in a simple and compelling way.
  • Drive innovation through science and experimentation, researching opportunities and staying up-to-date with new advanced analytics and marketing science techniques.
  • Coach and mentor a team of Data Scientists.
  • Measure, benchmark, and analyze the performance of Xero's digital and marketing experiences across multiple platforms and channels.
  • Become a major contributor and advocate for driving a culture of data literacy within your portfolio and ensuring future decisions are based on facts.
What You'll Bring
  • Qualification and 7+ years in Data Analytics and Science with advanced marketing science knowledge.
  • Leadership experience in Data Analytics and Science within the digital or tech industry.
  • Extensive experience in building predictive & attribution models.
  • Experience with unstructured data sources.
  • Experience delivering analytics in the form of visualizations and interactive dashboards.
  • Eagerness to understand the business context to inform your approach to analytical activities and solve customer problems alongside stakeholders.
  • A customer-centric mindset, with a proven ability to recommend opportunities that drive greater advocacy.
  • Experience building and scaling experimentation practices, statistical methods, and tools in a large-scale organization.
  • Ability to tackle unfamiliar domains and work with complex and diverse datasets.
  • A proven track record of building out a data-driven culture where data drives strategy forward.
  • Ability to break down complex data and deliver meaningful, actionable insights to stakeholders in a clear and digestible way.
  • Knowledge in data platforms & EDW methodologies; data analysis, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing.
