Nelson Marlborough Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our emergency department team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing staff with patient care, including one-to-one observations and other tasks as directed.
- Work collaboratively within the team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
- A mature outlook and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a flexible and methodical manner, demonstrating honesty and reliability.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Mandatory qualification: NZQA Level 3: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand (if not previously obtained).
