**The Role:** As a Manufacturing Technician in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for manufacturing parts and assemblies to support various teaching and research projects. You will work closely with the Workshop Team Leader and other staff members to ensure the successful completion of projects.

**Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture parts and assemblies using workshop equipment
  • Communicate with students and academic staff
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing challenges

**Requirements:

  • Advanced Trade Certificate (NZQA Level 5)
  • First Aid certificate
  • Extensive experience in a workshop environment
  • Strong commitment to cultural values
  • Experience working within a secondary or tertiary education practical workshop
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety rules and regulations
