Addiction Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled addiction care specialist to join our team at The Salvation Army Palmerston North Bridge. As an addictions caseworker, you will be responsible for providing integrated care to individuals experiencing co-existing problems of addiction and mental health.
Key Responsibilities- Provide casework that provides integrated care for those experiencing co-existing problems of addiction and mental health.
- Facilitate group sessions based on structured, evidence-based content.
- Establish connections with tangata whai ora, whanau, and community services.
- Work within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment.
- Implement The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies and Procedures.
- A minimum degree-level qualification in addictions, social work, counselling, psychology, or allied healthcare.
- A minimum of two years' clinical experience.
- Experience working in custodial settings is advantageous.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent cross-cultural understanding.
- Current registration with an applicable professional body (dapaanz, SWRB, NZAC, etc.).
- A commitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction/CEP studies.
- An ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas, and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy and confidentiality.
