NZ RegCo Overview

We aim to ensure investors, listed issuers, and market participants have confidence in New Zealand's public capital markets.

This is achieved by performing all frontline regulatory functions to support NZX's statutory obligations as a licensed market operator.

Our role is to regulate the capital markets, ensuring they operate in a fair, orderly, and transparent manner.

The position we are looking to fill is an intermediate-level solicitor with at least three years of experience.

This person will be responsible for taking up a core role in our enforcement function, working closely with senior stakeholders.

This involves overseeing and monitoring listed issuers, and investigating and undertaking enforcement activity in relation to non-compliance with NZX's market rules.

The successful candidate will also advocate for conduct outcomes through strategic initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • A law degree and a current practicing certificate (or ability to obtain one)
  • Some work experience in, or a demonstrated interest in, capital markets or financial markets regulation
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • A healthy level of curiosity and professional scepticism
