About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Journalism Specialist to join our editorial team in Hamilton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating and delivering high-quality content that meets the needs of Waikato and national audiences.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Producing engaging stories and multimedia content on a daily basis.
  2. Covering major issues in the local area and breaking news as needed.
  3. Understanding audience needs and finding unique local stories.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong journalistic skills, including writing and self-editing. You must also be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently, with excellent time management and self-motivation skills.
