About the Role

Ring International Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our leading tertiary hospital in New Zealand. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful contribution to the mental health of young people and their families.

Responsibilities
  • To contribute to the professional development and supervision of a supportive team of Registrars, House Officers, and Students.
  • To work with young people from 0 to 18 years old and their families in the Child and Family Unit and adolescent mental health inpatient unit.
  • To be part of a specialist inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service unit, serving a large region with a strong commitment to collaboration between young persons, families, staff, and other services.
Requirements
  • A registered or eligible Locum Tenens practitioner with experience and qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • An excellent working knowledge of the NZ mental health field, including relevant legislation.
  • At least 5 years clinical practice in Mental Health.
  • A commitment to biocultural practice.
  • A sound understanding and commitment to recovery principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High PC literacy.
  • FRANZCP or Equivalent.
