New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is the government agency responsible for helping New Zealand businesses grow internationally. We connect investors with quality growth investment opportunities across companies, sectors, and regions.
Our team works with innovative businesses to develop and nurture relationships that enable the successful delivery of our investment activation strategy.
The Investor Manager plays a critical role in this process, proactively managing new and existing investor migrants to New Zealand, connecting them with suitable investment opportunities.
This includes:
- Maintaining oversight of and relationships with direct investment and managed fund investment opportunities.
- Identifying the needs of Active Investor Plus visa applicants and connecting them with suitable investment opportunities.
- Developing tools and materials to manage investor migrants and their understanding of New Zealand and potential opportunities.
- Working with the wider team to design and implement programs that support the investment journeys of investor migrants to New Zealand.
- Gathering and maintaining the integrity of investor migrant and related deal data in NZTE's CRM.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the investment ecosystem. You will have a keen strategic focus in your approach to working with investors, adept at building relationships and understanding their needs.
You will effectively match investors with investment opportunities and products suitably aligned with and beyond their visa requirements.
Key skillsets for this role include:
- Proven ability to network and influence stakeholders and partners in New Zealand's commercial environment and globally.
- Demonstrated commercial strategic acumen and ability to develop business relationships.
- Experience with understanding and fulfilling investor needs and drivers.
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce or Accountancy.
- Mandarin language skills would be beneficial.
