The Opportunity

This fixed-term contract for 12 months offers a unique chance to join our close-knit team and contribute to the implementation of health and safety initiatives. You will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance on health and safety matters.

About the Role

This Health and Safety Advisor role is part of our People and Capability Department, which focuses on developing and implementing strategies that improve the work experience of our staff. As a key member of our Wellbeing, Health & Safety Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical advice and guidance on health and safety matters to support managers and staff
  • Conducting risk assessments and contributing to the development of our Risk Register
  • Implementing health and safety initiatives and critical risk programs, such as contractor safety management
  • Reporting and monitoring safety events, concerns, and action completions
  • Collaborating with Patient Quality and Security teams to ensure all health and safety events are captured and investigated
  • Encouraging worker engagement participation and representation, and overseeing Health and Safety Committees
  • Designing and delivering health and safety training
