Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Utility Arborist to join our team in the NZ Network Services division. As an Arborist/Vegetation specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of transmission lines and networks across the central and lower North Island.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced arborist to provide expert services in vegetation management. You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, pruning, and removing trees and shrubs that pose a risk to our network infrastructure.

You will work closely with our operations team to ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. This may involve working at heights, using EWP equipment, and operating machinery in various weather conditions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting vegetation management activities such as pruning, trimming, and removal of trees and shrubs
  • Inspecting and monitoring vegetation growth around transmission lines and network assets
  • Developing and implementing plans to control and manage vegetation growth
  • Working collaboratively with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of tasks
