About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to support people as they transition from inpatient care to the community.

About Us

Tawhirimatea is a safe care 29 bed unit that provides a range of individual and group programs and activities to support recovery for clients who may require a stay in a safer environment. We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes excellence in public service.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to support people as they transition from inpatient care to the community.
  • Offer specialized assessment and treatment for people with enduring mental illness.
  • Support nursing staff to ensure that individual care plans are supported.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • NZ Registered Occupational Therapist with current annual practicing certificate.
  • Member of Occupational Therapy New Zealand - Professional Association (desirable).
  • Full drivers license.
